No matter if your ceremony is formal or casual, large or intimate, most likely there are wedding rings to be presented.
If you have having a wedding with a processional or an intimate gathering, consider a unique way to present your rings.
I encourage a couple to ask a special relative or friend to contribute an item on which to present the rings. This could be a book, a beautiful old-fashioned pillow w/a story, a crafted box, in a special shell from a sentimental place or perhaps looped around the neck of a stuffed childhood animal. This way, instead of the "usual pillow," you have a beautiful memento to take home from your ceremony and you have honored a special person in your life.

We saw the potential for the waves the day before so we got motivated and set our alarms to get up early. We woke up at 6am ran down the forest to check the surf, before having tea, or breakfast, but onshore wind, and rain showers send us all back to our sleeping bags. Kassia and Lee-Anne decided to go brave the victory at sea and surf the beach brake down the street. In the meantime Jen, Lindsay and I headed to the hardware store and bought 5 cans of spray-paint with the intentions of getting creative back at the camp. We all meet up back at the house, and we decided to get all Cray Cray on the tent, and some random pieces of canvas, so we spent the afternoon making stencils, and transformed an average tent into a master piece. Then we decided to head to the movie store, and have a movie night Day 11 has been one of my favorite days on the Road trip, as this lay day gave us all the opportunity to show off our creative skills. I was pleasantly surprised with everyone’s skills, especially Lindsay stencils. Fingers crossed the surf is fun in the morning

During November and December, I have a number of wonderful weddings and most of my work is meeting with couples who are planning weddings for next year. I love this part of my work - I get the amazing opportunity to meet loving and committed couples devoted to creating and building a meaningful and poignant wedding ceremony and celebration. And while it's true that I want the opportunity to work with many of these couples, I do not push.
You see, I truly believe there is a synchronicity to the universe - an invisible world that is at work at all times and in all ways. For me, a wedding ceremony is one of life's greatest defining moments and transitions and I'd like to think that if I am to be with a couple on their wedding day, they'll find me - and we'll like each other and move forward together. It's as easy and as complicated as that! So, here are to the wonderful couples that I will be working with next year as I break out my calendar and start to build a roadmap for 2008.

Seth and Amy were married in front of their family and friends (and sharks!) at the marvelous Point Defiance Aquarium. Photographer Bob Carter captured so many great images from this wedding ceremony and did a spectacular job, considering the lighting challenges.
Yes, you've gotta love this couple! Seth and Amy are fun, fun and more fun. They created a very personalized ceremony, complete with a "25 places we will travel" keepsake box to be treasured and experienced for years to come.
The Point Defiance Aquarium staff were on hand and greeted guests with a few "permanent residents" who squawked and entertained on the arms/hands of staff.
I left Seth and Amy's wedding ceremony on this glorious Spring Saturday evening with a big smile on my face - fun was had by all!

"1983... (A Merman I Should Turn to Be)" (also known as "1983") is a song by English/American psychedelic rock band The Jimi Hendrix Experience, featured on their 1968 third studio album Electric Ladyland. Often recognised as one of the most psychedelic songs written by Jimi Hendrix, "1983" is also the second longest song by the band, surpassed only by the fifteen-minute "Voodoo Chile." The song features Jimi Hendrix on multiple guitars, bass and vocals, Mitch Mitchell on drums, and Chris Wood on flute. Various sound effect overdubs were also added.
