COCKER SPANIEL "HONEY BEAR" - JUST LOOK AT THIS FACE!

por | | 0 comments

COCKER SPANIEL "HONEY BEAR" - JUST LOOK AT THIS FACE!The Story of "Honey Bear"
Rescued from a hell hole in January.
Adopted to a loving home in February.

A big part of my life is dog rescue and rehabilitation and I've been doing this work in Seattle for more than 15 years. My husband, Greg and I, have four dogs at our home/property on Bainbridge Island - and during the past couple of years, we have taken care of special needs dogs who have spent the their last months with us.

I was part of a team that rescued "Honey Bear" in January. We found her living in filth and neglect in a shed with a heat lamp. After getting her urgent veterinary care and grooming, we discovered the sweetest little cocker girl underneath all of her filth and mats. She was fostered by a loving couple for several weeks and adopted by a lovely woman named Amy. Amy and Honey Bear are living together in Port Orchard and best of all, Honey Bear goes to work every day with Amy and the two are practically joined at the hip!

So, on this chilly March evening as I am working to find a foster home for another rescued dog - I offer you Honey Bear's picture and story for no other reason than to share the joy I feel when a dog is released from suffering and is insured of love and kindness for the rest of it's life. Woof!

John and Lorna's Romantic Evening Wedding Ceremony & Celebration At The Willows Lodge

John and Lorna's Romantic Evening Wedding Ceremony & Celebration At The Willows LodgeJohn and Lorna - you are so very, very married!

John and Lorna were married in front of their family and friends - including John's family who flew in from South Africa - at the Willows Lodge this past Friday evening, June 11th.

Jenn Wenman and her staff at The Willows Lodge again went over-the-top to insure every detail was beautiful and elegant for John and Lorna's sophisticated ceremony and reception.

One of my favorite women in Seattle photography, Tasha Owen, was doing her fabulous thing to capture sweet and exquisite "John and Lorna" moments, like the moment to the right.

John and Lorna's wedding ceremony was a mix of traditional and contemporary - including personal words which they wrote separately and shared with each other during their ceremony.

John and Lorna - I wish you a beautiful month's long trip and honeymoon and so appreciate the opportunity to know you over the past months and share in Friday evening!

The Rykels-Wilson Wedding: September 13, 2008 - Beautiful In All Ways... David & Jessie Wilson
September 13, 2008, Court in The Square/Seattle
marvelous photo: www.photoelan.com

Congratulations to David and Jessie Wilson!

David and Jessie were married in front of 200 of their family and friends at the marvelous Court in the Square venue in Pioneer Square. It was a beautiful Saturday evening a few weeks ago and what I absolutely loved about this couple was their generosity, endearing commitment to one another, and how we worked together to create a ceremony that was part traditional, part contemporary and with a dash or two of humor, creativity and spunk!

Children Of All Ages LOVE A Big Job Within A Wedding Ceremony!

Children Of All Ages LOVE A Big Job Within A Wedding Ceremony!Look at this face!

Michael and Lindy Zachau's son, Wake, is just way too cute!

This gorgeous photo, taken by photographer Barbie Hull, in a pew at St. Paul's Church in Port Gamble this year, is one of those "aw schucks" kind of photos.

Involving children within a wedding ceremony is a dance in all things unexpected. Children love participating in a wedding ritual and providing a "big job" to a child - no matter what the age - is an opportunity to create a lifetime moment.

It's not about whether the child perfectly "executes" the job ~ it's about giving a little one a marvelous opportunity to participate in a special day with the adults "rolling" with what ultimately happens.

For instance, during the ceremony, Wake decided to leave his seat with his relatives and explore the back of the church. We saw him at the end of the aisle and called to him during the ceremony ~ he ran down the aisle and into the arms of his parents. Unexpected and unplanned, this was truly momentous and absolutely a lifetime moment for Michael and Lindy!

HOW TO START & SUCCESSFULLY RUN A LITTLE TIGERS PROGRAM AT YOUR SCHOOL

4-Disc Program (over 3 hours) plus Reference Guide!

www.AdamLandDVD.com

This is a highly recommended instructional program that will guide you step-by-step through starting and running a successful martial arts program for children ages 4-7. The business of martial arts is built on children. The younger you get them started (within reason), the longer you stand to keep them enrolled. The martial arts gets into their blood, so to speak, and they become little sponges, ready to be taught with open minds and noble objectives. If your school is like most, the majority of your student population is made up of children under the age of sixteen, and if the parents want to experience the martial arts with their children, with their children, then as a bonus they become students in your adult class. We have many 8 to 16 year old kids who have literally trained with us the majority of their lives. Without question, the martial arts has had a profound influence on their lives.

This program is not a "play-time" guide. We focus on a proven-to-work martial arts curriculum that is teachable, measurable and very appropriate for children ages 4-7. This program also includes a skills and drills DVD designed to add fun and excitement to your classes. All skills and drills are principle based and help to refine fine motor skills, memorization, cooperation and class retention.

Even if you already have a similar system for running a pre-school / kindergarten-aged class at your school -- our HOW TO... program will most definitely enhance and compliment what you are already doing by giving you new and innovative ideas, clear and concise instruction on how to structure a progressive, exciting, solid, and profitable program for children ages 4-7. Using a tried and proven teaching syllabus of curriculum and skills & drills like the one provided by AdamLand Productions will lead to rewards beyond your expectations!

Little Tigers Program Overview
Organizing an X Pattern Schedule

Wednesday Highlights

por | | 0 comments

I've decided to change up the Wednesday blog postings from now on, starting with the new name, Wednesday Highlights. Instead of featuring real weddings on Wednesdays, we're going to feature completed orders from way back when to our most recent orders. However, at the start of each month we will feature real weddings.

Wednesday Highlights
Melinda and Jason's aisle runner from July of 2008 is one of my all time favorites. Not only did I fall in love with the design when Melinda brought it to us, but it was also one of our first non-slip aisle runners. Even over a year later, I'm so happy with this design and would love to recreate it for a new couple. Be sure to visit Customized Wedding Creations to order this or any design today!

Dennis and Claire's Moonlight & Candles Wedding Ceremony At JM Cellars, Woodinville...

Dennis and Claire's Moonlight & Candles Wedding Ceremony At JM Cellars, Woodinville... Dennis & Claire's Evening Wedding Ceremony
JM Cellars ~ Woodinville

Oh, sometimes I just have too much fun at a wedding ceremony! I had the marvelous opportunity to marry Dennis and Claire at the fabulous new wedding venue, JM Cellars in Woodinville.

Things got a little dark before we all knew it. And most of the ceremony was done in the moonlight with what seemed to be a zillion candles all around. Being that we were at a winery, Dennis and Claire toasted their marriage within their ceremony with a special wine for the occasion - and thankfully, I navigated my way around this ritual in the moonlight and candles.

If you'd like to take a peak at Dennis and Claire's venue choice for their wedding, go to www.jmcellars.com - and ask for Peggy! My thanks to Joe and Jill Hein of http://www.joejill.com/ for getting some fabulous photos of this marvelous ceremony.
