Stevie and Kelli ~ You Are So Very Married! Wed On April 24, 2010 ~ The Sorrento Hotel, Seattle!

por | | 0 comments

Stevie and Kelli ~ You Are So Very Married! Wed On April 24, 2010 ~ The Sorrento Hotel, Seattle!Stevie and Kelli ~ You did it! You are so very married!

More than 100 family and friends gathered for Stevie and Kelli's wedding ceremony atop the Sorrento Hotel. And the very slow hotel elevator only added to the fun and ambience of this day.

Kelli was absolutely smashing in her gown and accessories and as I told her new husband more than once, "Stevie, you are one lucky guy!"

Working together, we created a personalized wedding ceremony that included tributes to the couple's parents, special gifts to their parents, keepsake mementos created and exchanged by Stevie and Kelli during their ceremony...and humor. You could not have a wedding ceremony for this couple without humor!

Stevie and Kelli ~ congratulations!

Moments of Joy In A Wedding Ceremony ~ What I Know For Sure About Tears, Hankies and Those "Unexpected Moments..."

Moments of Joy In A Wedding Ceremony ~ What I Know For Sure About Tears, Hankies and Those "Unexpected Moments..." Chris and Sarah ~ April, 2010
Port Ludlow Resort

There were moments during Chris and Sarah's Saturday evening wedding ceremony that were funny. There were moments that were poignant, sweet, sentimental and a few that required a hankie. And Chris and Sarah were truly elegant and present for all of this.

I'm fond of saying a wedding is an event AND it is an emotional event. At a wedding, I've come to learn that people are listening AND they are not listening.

Because a wedding is an emotional event, a couple, wedding party and family and friends are most often "in feeling mode" - and officiating a ceremony so that the "feeling of the moment" is captured is both an art, a science (sort of!) and something learned over time.

10 Ways To Add Happiness To A Couple Relationship

por | | 0 comments

by: David Richards

Relationships, especially couple relationships, can be trying at times, but it's not hard to be a happy couple. Below are 10 simple, everyday ways to keep things fresh and good.

1. Make eye contact with each other. Eye contact should be made especially

a. when you are discussing something serious and
b. when you say those three little words. Come on, you know what I'm talking about!

2. Never forget to put your beloved first. Be ready to drop everything for him or her at any time. Remind yourself time after time how blessed you are.

3. Make sure you tell them how important they are to you. This is simple yet an easy thing to forget.

4. Don't take anything for granted. Remember, you two are soul mates, and you don't find soul mates every day because it is not easy to find. There is a good reason you two are together, so don't forget how special that is.

5. Keep up the physical contact with each other. When you come home from a long day at work, remember to give your partner a big hug. You don't even have to say anything at all. Physical contact helps us to remind how we feel about each other, without having to use words to express it.

6. When you have a tough and stressful day, leave the day's stresses behind. Cool down; time spent with your partner should be relaxing. It should be the best time of the day; the time you look forward to.

7. Find out what are your dreams as well as your partner's dreams. Share these with each other. This will help to draw you together. You should always be honest about what you want out of life and your relationship. If you don't say it, how can he or she know?

8. Give each other gifts for no reason. You would be amazed what a boost this gives to a relationship between man and woman. When they ask you what it is, just tell them that you thought of them when you saw the thing you purchased.

9. Always be supportive to your partner. Tell them clearly that whatever trials and troubles they have, you will be there by their side. Weathering the storm together will strengthen your love, make it stronger. Knowing that nothing will break you apart. also gives you confidence,

10. Listen men: Opening the door for her is always a good thing to do as well as compliment her new hairdo or clothes. Remember to keep the toilet seat down.

Somebody will that such things sound insignificant. If you are among them, you need to keep this list in your breast pocket and get to studying it!

Title: The Way to Happiness Video: Take Care of Yourself

1. Take care of yourself.

The Way to Happiness is comprised of 21 precepts, each one predicated on the fact that one's survival depends on the survival of all others—and that without the survival of others, no joy and no happiness are attainable.

In illustration of those precepts, the Church of Scientology sponsored the production and airing of a corresponding series of informational videos. They are presented in the spirit of the booklet itself, which is a roadmap to a happier life through values of compassion and caring that every member of a civilized society holds dear.

Get Creative! Seating For Your Ceremony - What About A Ceremony In The Round?

Get Creative! Seating For Your Ceremony - What About A Ceremony In The Round? How Wonderful! Cheers to Todd & Andrea Calhoun
February 16, 2008, Court In the Square, Seatttle, WA

This amazing photo is the beautiful work of Seattle Wedding Photographer Kurt Smith www.kurtsmithphotography.com
_________________________________________________
Todd and Andrea wanted something very special for their wedding ceremony "seating" - they chose to have their family and friends stand around them in a circle of support and community. And their ceremony on February 16th was beautiful, poignant with sweet moments of tenderness and laughter.
Traditional seating for a wedding ceremony is often the choice for most couples. And on occasion, a bride and groom will consider an alternative that reflects their individual style and personality. So, as you plan your ceremony, consider alternatives for traditional seating - especially if the indoor venue or outdoor space is a backdrop for something particuarly unique and different.

3 Things You Might Not Know About Me, Your Wedding Officiant...

por | | 0 comments

3 Things You Might Not Know About Me, Your Wedding Officiant... Congratulations to Brian & Suzanne!
Kiana Lodge, Poulsbo, WA

In this work that I do, I have laughed, cried, worried, obsessed and had some of the most marvelous moments of my life. Creating and delivering a personalized wedding ceremony - no matter how many people, no matter the location or how simple or complex a ceremony - is a delicate art. It involves the creative process, grand and complex emotion, a couple's unique story and a couple's "tribe/family."
**********
And so, over the years, here is what is true about me that you may not know:
1) On occasion (once or twice a year), I mess things up within a ceremony. I fall back on the "nobody's perfect" medicine to help me feel better and a mistake still hurts.
2) I often worry about traffic snafus in the Summer season and arrive on-site often way too early. Truth? I wish I could relax around traffic. Probably not happening in this lifetime. So, I drink alot of tea or diet Snapple (peach tea!) while waiting...
3) And several times during the year because I work heavy weekends, I miss wonderful weekend events with family and friends. I'll confide to my husband, "this working weekend thing is really hard sometimes," and feel melancholy that I'm missing some personal fun. Yes, it's true. I love to play AND I wouldn't give up this work right now for anything.

Title: Big Blue Dress Widescreen

The MP3 for this song is on my newly-released album, "Big Blue Dress":

http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=327607823&s=143441
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002LP17JK/ref=dm_sp_alb?ie=UTF8&qid=1250403575&sr=8-2

This is a re-edit of my original music video "Big Blue Dress". Many people have been asking for me to upload a better version to YouTube now that it supports higher resolutions and wide screen. Also since I've started using YouTube to post my videos, some people wanted them all in one place. In converting this old video to wide screen, I actually had to edit it from scratch because just trimming the original didn't work as you might expect. As a result, there are some minor differences between this video and the original. Since I was doing it from scratch, I did change a few things that you might notice. However, I tried to keep these changes very small.

For you machinimators out there, I strongly recommend that you archive your footage and your project files because you never know when you might want to do something like this.

I wrote this song and shot all the footage in 2005. Not only was this before the Burning Crusade expansion pack, but also it was before the first "mage love" patch which made the mage more powerful. So please don't focus on the numbers you'll see in this video. The video was never about the critical hits. If I could have removed that text, I would have. In some cases I was able to because I was using a "camera man", but in other cases it was live footage with the UI turned off (try it some time), but I couldn't turn off the damage numbers. That said, these crits were about as good as it got in early 2005. I could have gone bigger with trinkets and arcane power, but this was considered bad form in videos at the time.

I'll include a FAQ about this video here. I'll try to answer some of the questions that have been asked over the years, and I'll try to add good questions as they crop up. If you have more questions, check my blog (www.cranius.com) or send me some mail (cranius@cranius.com).

Where can I get the MP3? Can I find this on iTunes?
Download it from http://www.cranius.com/audio/BigBlueDress.mp3

How do you fly?
That's not flying. That's falling with style. :) In this video, most of the flying is performed by casting Slow Fall, a mage spell that causes you to ... fall slowly. Then I mount up on my epic mount and run and jump off a cliff. You can jump from the Lumbermill to the Blacksmith in Arathi Basin, for example.

How do you cast a giant fireball while moving/flying?
The mage talent "Presence of Mind" (aka "POM") causes your next cast to be instant. So I cast this spell and then cast Pyroblast. Since it's instant, you can cast it while moving/flying.

What's that white horse? Where do you get it?
The white stallion was the original human epic mount. It's no longer available in game. Only those who kept their original epic mount still have one.

What are you wearing in this video?
Cowboy hat - Master's Hat
Pink - Magister's set (so-called tier 0.5)
Blue - Original PvP set
Brown - Twill "set" (it sucks, but it looks cool) :)

Who's the Author? Who made the music video?
I wrote the song, I go by "Cranius", and I made the original music video as well as this new version here. I didn't upload the original version to YouTube, though some other people did.

What are the lyrics? What are the gnomes saying?

Title: Paul Simon - Slip Slidin' Away + lyrics

Paul Simon - Slip Slidin' Away

Lyrics:

Slip slidin' away
Slip slidin' away
You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away

I know a man
He came from my home town
He wore his passion for his woman
Like a thorny crown
He said Dolores
I live in fear
My love for you's so overpowering
I'm afraid that I will disappear

Slip slidin' away
Slip slidin' away
You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away

I know a woman
Became a wife
These are the very words she uses
To describe her life
She said a good day
Ain't got no rain
She said a bad day's when I lie in bed
And think of things that might have been

Slip slidin' away
Slip slidin' away
You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away

And I know a fa-ther
Who had a son
He longed to tell him all the reasons
For the things he'd done
He came a long way
Just to explain
He kissed his boy as he lay sleeping
Then he turned around and headed home again

Slip slidin' away
Slip slidin' away
You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away

God only knows
God makes his plan
The information's unavailable
To the mortal man
We're working our jobs
Collect our pay
Believe we're gliding down the highway
When in fact we're slip slidin' away

Slip slidin' away
Slip slidin' away
You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away

Slip slidin' away
You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away
Mmm...

Tips for Planning a Large or Small Waterside Wedding Ceremony...

Tips for Planning a Large or Small Waterside Wedding Ceremony...
Jason and Anna's Wedding Ceremony ~ Hood Canal
If you are planning to have your wedding ceremony on a beach or very near the water, I invite you to take a few pointers from Jason and Anna's wedding ceremony...
- Not to short, not too long. Many waterside weddings have the grand fortune of good weather and like Jason and Anna, a very hot day. Work with your Officiant to insure the ceremony is just the right length so people are not baking in the sun!
- Pre-ceremony refreshments. Yes, your guests will hugely appreciate some lemonade or punch before the ceremony, particularly on a very hot day.
- Standing position. Work with your Officiant on how/where you will stand as a couple during your ceremony. This allowed Jason and Anna's photographer, Barbie Hull, to get some great photos and as usual, I moved around so the focus was truly on this couple.
- Use the beach/waterfront for a grand group photo. A waterside group photo is a marvelous "thank you" to include in your post-wedding note to guests.

Title: Fence Installation Tips: Choosing and Planning Your Fence

Lowe's home improvement expert, Mike Kraft, shares helpful tips on how to choose and plan your fence. Before fencing installation, you should understand what your fence should do. Do you want it to provide privacy or decoration? Or would you like it to keep in pets? Then, you can choose whether you would like privacy fencing, semi-privacy fencing or decorative fencing.

After, you need to pick from a vinyl, steel, aluminum or wood fence. Wood is a more traditional fencing material, but it does need to be cleaned or stained fairly regularly. Steel fencing should be painted every few years or so to keep up its look. However, if you are looking for easier maintenance routines, try vinyl or aluminum fencing.

Lastly, before beginning installation, you need to decide on component or panel fencing. Component parts allow the fence to more easily follow the ups and downs of your property. Panels, on the other hand, don't quite allow for strict following but can be somewhat replicated with a stair stepping pattern.

Finally, once you have finished choosing your new fencing, you can begin installation. To watch more videos on fencing installation, visit http://www.Lowes.com/Videos
