A wonderful couple whom I am marrying at the end of May tragically lost their 15-year-old son this past Monday. Michael is the beloved son of the Bride, Tammy, and this loss came out of nowhere.
Truthfully, there are no words in this moment.
I have the honor of creating and officiating Michael's Memorial Service which will be held this Monday, March 16th. I treasure this wedding work that I do and I also have the privilege of creating and delivering personalized memorials and life tributes.
So, today, I am taking a breath...and a walk in the nearby Grand Forest with our four dogs with gratitude for all blessings in life. And at the same time, my heart goes out to Michael's family.
I wish that you would tell me how
You know me well and want to be together
Fallen short and faded out
But you keep making gardens in this desert
Despite the grace that I dismiss
Forgiveness was the catalyst
To penetrate my heart with what is true
It's beautiful
You could turn mistakes to miracles
The way that you still love me after all
It's beautiful
Redeem the years I've thrown away
I'm ready to make good on what I've wasted
I'm asking you to shape my heart
I want to be your work of art
'cause when you change me
You make me more like you
It's beautiful
You could turn mistakes to miracles
The way that you still love me after all
It's beautiful
So help me God, forbid
I never take for granted
This endless gift you give
It's beautiful
You could turn mistakes to miracles
The way that you still love me after all
It's beautiful
It's beautiful [x2]
I wish that you would tell me how
You know me well and want to be together

Todd and Andrea wanted something very special for their wedding ceremony "seating" - they chose to have their family and friends stand around them in a circle of support and community. And their ceremony on February 16th was beautiful, poignant with sweet moments of tenderness and laughter.
Traditional seating for a wedding ceremony is often the choice for most couples. And on occasion, a bride and groom will consider an alternative that reflects their individual style and personality. So, as you plan your ceremony, consider alternatives for traditional seating - especially if the indoor venue or outdoor space is a backdrop for something particuarly unique and different.

The ZUCA Pro is in a class of its own: part carry-on, part organizer, part office chair, all business
During this year, I had the wonderful opportunity to come to know Renee and Michael as they moved toward their wedding day.
And sometimes, a photo says it all. Forget the blog posting!
I could write hundreds of words about Renee and Michael - about their devotion, love story, fun quirks and funny stories.
Photographer Alex Rubin so exquisitely captured Renee and Michael during a private moment on their wedding reception night, just before the sun went down over Newcastle Golf and Country Club.

Title: The Dellville Witch -- Scene 12
In this scene Sarah Richter (Renee Michaels) vaguely remembers her noturnal visitation by the Stick People and is horrorified and confused. Her daugher, Michelle (Shelby Edwards) is both puzzled and distraught by her mom's behavior. Original artwork in all scenes is by Bonny Downs (who plays Wanda Coates in the film) www.artistbonlee.com.
PJ drove 12 hours in treacherous Mid-west Winter weather to ask Maegan's parents for her hand in marriage. What I loved about PJ and Maegan is how they sweetly tied together the traditional and the contemporary to create a beautiful wedding ceremony and celebration at one of my favorite places on earth, Kiana Lodge.
As you can see from the photo taken by the wonderful Kurt Smith (www.kurtsmithphotography.com) moments after they began walking down the aisle, PJ and Maegan were elated to begin the new phase of their journey together as partners, buddies and loving husband and wife.

Title: Day 94-100 Jurien Bay - Cervantes, Australia (sandy cape jurien bay, buzzer bush balladeer)
A TripAdvisor TripWow video of a travel blog to Jurien Bay, Australia by TravelPod blogger Millersofoz. See this TripWow and more at http://tripwow.tripadvisor.com/tripwow/ta-00bb-b93c-7c42?ytv4=1
Day 94-100 Jurien Bay "Day 94-100 Jurien Bay Wed March 4th - Tues March 10th 2009 Our late arrival into Jurien Bay Tourist Park on Wednesday evening saw us nearly miss the night's entertainment of "Buzzer the Bush Balladeer" - a Country & Western star (or so he claimed) from the 20's, I reckoned! We were pleasantly surprised to find Riley, Darcy, Simone & Luke (from Luckybay) in the audience and realised our site was right beside them - we were to be our neighbours again! Max was stoked, he and the boys made lots of noise re-acquainting themselves and generally disrupted Buzzer's performance, but despite all this he soldiered on like the true professional he is. Maegan got up and sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" at the end of Buzzers set. She was so impressed with him(and we with her act of bravado) that when he put his hat out to collect gold coin donations and urged his guests to peruse his merchandise (which included his CD's of past memorable performances) Maegan bought a stubbie holder to remember the occasion! The water here is clear, clean and pristine. We were lucky to have hot weather whilst here and that meant little wind so the swimming area was mostly flat waters and hence the clear waters. We felt we had arrived in paradise, when you find these gems it is difficult to move on for fear you will not find somewhere as good. One morning we drove to Cervantes to the Nambung National Park to see the pinnacles, we were all amazed to find desert conditions seeming appear out of no-where. Rather than walk the 1.2km loop on this very hot day we drove, stopping many times enthralled with the display of these unusual limestone pillars. Some were 5m tall and others were 2m wide at the base, Maegan and Max thought they were awesome, we all thought they were awesome. I took heaps of photos trying to capture them in all their glory, in different lights and with the blue sea in the background. The interpretive centre with a themed "signs of life" display of animals found in this environment was fantastic also, we all learned heaps here. We spent heaps of time with Luke, Simone, Riley and Darcy at the beach swimming, snorkelling and jumping off the jetty and at the local pub on Friday night. The kids played on the jumping pillow in between Riley and Darcy's distance education lessons. Greg woke on Saturday morning with a major hang-over, he and Luke stayed long after I had taken the remaining kids home. Darcy came down with a temperature, feeling lethargic and generally unwell, so Simone took him home first. He ended up not well for 24hrs, just the usual tummy bug stuff. Greg was so crook next morning he couldn't go to his usual Super Saturday racing at the pub tab. Naturally I had little sympathy for his self inflicted condition, Luke bounced back quickly and Greg took all day to come good. Fishing off the jetty was a favourite pass-time of Maegan's once she met Jasmine and her family later in the week. She caught a flathead there at dusk and Greg was also caught several whiting. None were big enough to eat, not that he would have eaten them anyway. They both enjoyed watching the sunsets from on those nights Sandy Cape approximately 9km north of Jurien and a potential cheap campsite provided another half day's activity. We drove there to determine if we would stay on the way out of Jurien, however the seaweed was a little on the nose and given the $15p.n site fees we were not bowled over enough by this site to cut short our time in Jurien Bay. We did follow a dolphin that was feeding in the reef, really close to the beach. It was playing and diving like a whale, flapping its tail on the water as it surfaced. I wondered if it did this because it was feeding, thrashing about trying to eat the fish it chased... Anyway I dragged the family about 2km along the bay mesmerised by this animal in its natural environment and attempting to capture it on camera. Reluctantly we left Jurien on Tuesday morning but not before one last swim and dive off the jetty in the magnificent calm, clear waters before breakfast that day, our 100th day on the trip. What a way to start the celebrations..." Read and see more at: http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/millersofoz/1/1237973040/tpod.html

This weekend, I had the remarkable privilege of being a part of Alex and Amy's wedding day at a most amazing venue in Puyallup, Blair Acres - http://www.blairacres.com/.
************
From the moment I arrived at rehearsal to the moments of signing the documents immediately after the ceremony, all was easy, fun and sweet.
Alot of this was because of the love, generosity and kindness of Alex and Amy's parents and their immediate family. Amy's Mother, Sandi, set the tone for a peaceful and memorable day and everyone and everything fell into place.
Alex and Amy - I wish you much happiness together and thank you for the opportunity to share in your wedding ceremony!

Well, Ryan and Kelly's wonder dog, Baxter, was set to steal the show walking down the aisle with his enthusiasm and verve. But Ryan's beautiful bride was glorious walking down the aisle last Saturday afternoon at Villa Academy and it was a gorgeous moment.
The marvelous Brian and Jennifer from www.photoelan.com were on hand to capture the moments and my favorite pianist, Cara, was there to lend her musical talents - www.seattlepianist.com.
Ryan and Kelly, I know you are on your honeymoon in Tahiti - and I wish you a blessed and happy marriage.

Title: Visit to Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine
As I make mention in previous posts I have made some wonderful synchronistic heart connections through the online networking I do in shining my light for God. I first met Kevin Reid via the online Peace Portal Ning network. We share a similar passion. Gandhi-"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
After February 11th Resource Fair in Los Angeles Wayne and I had several days to visit our daughter Heather and Kevin invited us to join him at the beautiful ten-acre Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades, California. It was a beautiful afternoon and when sorting through the photographs I felt guided to have Jane Young www.joy-tothe-world.com create a lovely movie to honor this ideal setting and sacred place for quiet reflection and meditation created by Paramahansa Yogananda (1893 --1952) www.yogananda-srf.org

One of Seattle's finest Celebrants, Sean Patrick O'Reilly, unexpectedly passed away on July 22nd. When I got the call, I absolutely could not believe it. I was without words.
In so many ways, I looked up to Sean. I remember lunches and meetings in his offices where we shared "ceremony" stories and giggles (Sean was so full of joy). Sean created and delivered a wedding ceremony with the upmost care, spirit and personal touches.
As I work thru August, I am dedicating each wedding ceremony to Sean. Today, I am off to marry the marvelous Weston and Tanya at Gasworks Park and then will be at Parsons Garden for Ann and Chris's wedding ceremony.
Thank you, Sean. For giving me the opportunity to sit on the couch with you and share stories, to be inspired by the magic of your craft and for the laughter.
What can be more romantic than sending a handwritten love letter to your loved one, full of romantic words and genuine feelings you have for him/her?
Love letters are one of the best ways to show your special loved ones how you feel for them and how much you love them.
A heartfelt love letter also makes the perfect gift for Valentine's Day, but you don't have to just limit yourself to that specific day. Every day is a great opportunity to make your loved one happy by sharing your deepest feelings with him/her.
The great thing about love letters is that you don't have to be a poet or a skilled "writer" to be able to write them. Everyone - and I really mean "everyone" - can do it.
Because they are just about putting your romantic feelings into words genuinely - even in very simple words. This openness is what makes love letters special.
To write a more romantic and heart warming letter, here are some questions that will give you good ideas to write about:
Idea #1: What was the first time you felt you were in love with him/her? Did anything special happen that made you realize your love?
You can describe in clear details how it happened and how you felt and it will mean the world to your loved one. I promise. :-)
Idea #2: What is the #1 thing he/she has that makes you feel so much in love with him/her whenever you think about it? It could be about looks or about personality.
For example you may say "the way her face shines when she smiles", or "the way his eyes always bring peace and love to me when I look into them."
Idea #3: What positive changes have you made since he/she has entered your life? What valuable lessons have you learned from him/her?
For example it could be that before you met him/her, you were pretty shy and didn't fully believe in yourself and your unique abilities, but he/she helped you love yourself more and be proud of who you are.
When your loved one reads this, she will practically feel on clouds because he/she sees what a big difference he/she had made in your life.
Idea #4: It's also a good idea to include a heartfelt romantic love poem at the end or the beginning of your letter. Sometimes nothing can show how we feel better and deeper than a good poem.
Idea #5: And as the last tip: Don't forget to say "I Love You" at the end of your letter. This simple yet effective sentence will really seal the deal in your loved one's mind.
Wish you a wonderful life full of loveBusiness Management Articles,

Title: Love Letters - An Animated Proposal - v2.0
I produced this animation as a way of proposing to my girlfriend (now wife) Natasha. I assembled a team of 20 animators to assist me, including co-workers, as well as students from my 3D character animation class at the Art Institute of California-San Francisco. We created more than four minutes of animation in just three months. When it was completed, I surprised Natasha by bringing her to the Parkway Movie Theater in Oakland, where they played the animation on the big screen in front of over 100 of our friends and family. The entire event was filmed for the TLC television show "A Perfect Proposal."
Director's Note: I pulled a George Lucas and retrofitted the opening shot of the animation to show a photo of the Natasha design from "The Invitation" rather than the earlier drawing of Natsha I had done, which I was never quite satisfied with. Also, after receiving many a tersely written emails, I finally decided to listen to the fans and have completely removed all scenes with Jar Jar Binks.
FAQs:
Q: "What software program did you use to create your animations?"
A: All animation was done in Maya and edited together in Adobe After Effects. You can download a Personal Learning Edition of Maya free from the Autodesk website.
