Post Wedding Show "Cake Coma! THE MARVELOUS BRENT & JEN!
Waterways Cruises, Seattle, WA, 2007

I'm in a post-wedding show "cake coma!"

Truth? My real motive for cruising the aisles of the yearly January Wedding Show are the "cake samples." I'm a baker at heart and am often in the kitchen at home creating something with sugar and flour, much to the chagrin of my husband, Greg, who has quite the sweet tooth.

The yearly wedding show is my excuse for sampling the best cakes out there and my yummy winner for this year (as last year) is Sugar Rush Baking Company in West Seattle, www.sugarrushbakingcompany.com - take a peak and go visit!

Title: Reva & Kyle & Josh (#1) Post Wedding/Josh Returns Part 1, Guiding Light 1986

HB arrives at Reva's hospital room where Roxie informs him she is calling out for Joshua. While still sedated Josh arrives in her room to make sure Reva is ok. He tells her that he can't stay that there may be others after him and he doesn't want to put her in any more danger. He tells her to be well and be happy and kisses her. Before leaving he tells her he will love her as long as he lives. Later Reva is waiting in Kyle's office. He is excited to see her and is upset that Roxie didn't let him see her at the hospital. He is excited that his son is alive. She tells him that if he had left Ben with Maeve in the first place he would have known that he was ok. Reva tells Kyle that she can't be a family with him and Ben and there will never be a wedding. She tells him that they're over and that they don't belong together. He is upset when she says they don't love each other any more. He blames Maeve for their problems. She tells him she just sees someone that looks like the man she loved and regardless of what Maeve did, what he did was worse. He declares that he won't lose her and she tells him that she's already gone. She tells him to do what's right for his son, meaning to share him with Maeve. He wants Reva to be his mother and she says no. Reva tells him that if he doesn't share Ben then he will lose him too eventually. He thinks Reva is being unrealistic. She tells him that a son isn't something you own and if he doesn't share Ben then Ben will grow up to be as lonely and miserable as him. After Reva leaves, Kyle blames Maeve and vows not to let her ruin his life again.

Writing Your Wedding Vows - Traditional, Contemporary or Truly Your Own...
Jenny's Vows to Jason, 2008
Jason and Jennie Melton, The Edgewater Hotel
Writing Your Wedding Vows. For most engaged couples that I work with, this often comes with a kaleidoscope of feeling: trepidation, excitement, unknowing, intimdation, exciting challenge and so much more.
***********************
I often work with couples to write their vows. And there are many ways to do this. You may write your own vows with my assistance. You may write your own vows and send them to me separately and share as a "surprise" during your ceremony. Or perhaps you'd like me to write a personalized set of vows for the two of you that are alike or most likely, very different.
Either way, as a Celebrant and Officiant, I've witnessed many wonderful vow exchanges. And here is what is true: if your vows are heartfelt, poignant, from your heart and "real," all is good.

Graham and Chrystal's Wedding Ceremony - Bubbles, Bubbles And More Bubbles!

Graham and Chrystal's Wedding Ceremony - Bubbles, Bubbles And More Bubbles! Graham and Chrystal Comley
Snoqualmie Golf & Country Club ~ August 7, 2009

Talk about kindred souls! Graham and Chrystal are one of those 'forever' couples that an Officiant remembers - gracious, deeply in love, grounded yet very fun and deeply appreciative of everyone and everything around them.

Graham and Chrystal were married this past Friday evening under a cloudy sky at the marvelous Snoqualmie Golf & Country Club. They capped off their wedding ceremony with an explosion of bubbles - i.e., bubbles everywhere at processional! I can't wait to see the processional photo from their wedding ceremony. Bubbles might be a simple "thing" but they are so festive, inexpensive and bring great joy as a couple moves into their reception.

Title: Billy Graham Says Jesus Christ is Not the Only Way

ATTENTION NON-JUDGMENTALISTS!
PLEASE READ THIS:

Billy Graham said that people can get to Heaven another way besides through hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then repenting and believing the Gospel. He basically says that "good" and "sincere" people who know nothing about Christ are on their way to Heaven.

Transcript from the "Hour of Power" show:

http://www.ondoctrine.com/10grahab.htm

And here is the content of the transcript:

Dr. Schuller: "Tell me, what is the future of Christianity?"
Dr. Graham: "Well, Christianity and being a true believer, you know, I think there's the body of Christ which comes from all the Christian groups around the world, or outside the Christian groups. I think that everybody that loves Christ or knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the body of Christ. And I don't think that we're going to see a great sweeping revival that will turn the whole world to Christ at any time. What God is doing today is calling people out of the world for His name. Whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the body of Christ because they've been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts they need something that they don't have and they turn to the only light they have and I think they're saved and they're going to be with us in heaven."
Dr. Schuller: "What I hear you saying is that it's possible for Jesus Christ to come into a human heart and soul and life even if they've been born in darkness and have never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you're saying?"
Dr. Graham: "Yes it is because I believe that. I've met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations that they have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, have never heard of Jesus but they've believed in their hearts that there is a God and they tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived."
Dr. Schuller: "This is fantastic. I'm so thrilled to hear you say that. There's a wideness in God's mercy.
Dr. Graham: There is. There definitely is."

The conversation above occurred between Billy Graham and Robert Schuller, who is the pastor of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California and founder of the Hour Of Power television program. The interview was broadcast on May 31, 1997 on the Hour of Power television program, titled "Say 'Yes' To Possibility Thinking," program #1426.

Go to page 6 of this newsweek article to find out: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14204483/
The part of this article that I am talking about starts at the second paragraph...

Think about it friends, if what Billy said was true...that one can get to Heaven another way besides through Christ, then there was no reason for Christ to shed His precious blood. But, the reason He did was because He knew there would be no other way. Read John 14:6, Acts 20:28, Romans 3:21-26 & 5:9, Ephesians 1:7 & 2:13, Colossians 1:20, Hebrews 9:12 & 9:22, etc.

See also George W. Bush, Billy Graham & Robert Schuller promoting another Jesus - the New Age Christ:

This should shock any Bible believing Christian.

Billy Graham Says Jesus Christ is Not the Only Way to Heaven!

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing" Mat. 7:15

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." 1John 4:1

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness" 2Cor.11:14,15

"Prove all things" "by the word of God", the Holy Bible. 1Thess. 5:21; 2Tim. 2:15; Rom. 10:17

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 2Tim. 3:16

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2Tim. 4:1-4

Celebrating Sean's Magnificent Spirit - Seattle Celebrant Sean Patrick O'Reilly Sean's Last Wedding Ceremony ~ July 18, 2009

One of Seattle's finest Celebrants, Sean Patrick O'Reilly, unexpectedly passed away on July 22nd. When I got the call, I absolutely could not believe it. I was without words.

In so many ways, I looked up to Sean. I remember lunches and meetings in his offices where we shared "ceremony" stories and giggles (Sean was so full of joy). Sean created and delivered a wedding ceremony with the upmost care, spirit and personal touches.

As I work thru August, I am dedicating each wedding ceremony to Sean. Today, I am off to marry the marvelous Weston and Tanya at Gasworks Park and then will be at Parsons Garden for Ann and Chris's wedding ceremony.

Thank you, Sean. For giving me the opportunity to sit on the couch with you and share stories, to be inspired by the magic of your craft and for the laughter.

A Very Fun And Uplifting Ceremony On A Sunny Friday Evening at Bothell's Monte Villa Farmhouse... The "Funsy" Alan & Christina Garvin
Monte Villa Farmhouse '09

Okay, sometimes in this work, you've just gotta smile BIG. And smile I did on Alan and Christina's wedding day. Alan and Christina were married on a Friday evening at the Monte Villa Farmhouse - an idyllic evening in all ways.

What I truly appreciate about this couple is their generous and appreciative natures and how we worked to create a very fun and uplifting wedding ceremony - one that set the tone for the evening's celebration.

Alan and Christina - I wish you much, much happiness. I left your wedding with such a happy feeling in my heart... isn't the Monte Villa Farmhouse the most lovely venue in such a crazy "corporate" park?!

Sorrento Hotel, 2009

Marvelous Photo by Jenny GG: http://www.jennyggphotography.com/

Derek and Amy's intimate and wonderful wedding ceremony at The Sorrento Hotel on February 28th went off without a hitch!

One of the sweetest moments during the ceremony was when Derek presented Amy's daughter with a beautiful necklace and whispered a few private words.

Jenny GG of http://www.jennyggphotography.com/ captured this evening beautifully and Kristen Leah at the Sorrento Hotel added touches to insure the evening was beautiful, memorable and most of all, flawless!
Congratulations, Derek & Amy!

Title: Mark/Addison [The whole story] Congratulations

I've been dying to make a vid about them, especially with the story before the show. So here it is, with the song Congratulations by Blue October and Imogen Heap.
I'm not satisfied with it, because it's kind of messy. That's why I'll be writing the whole story, and I'll be adding time-things too.

Story:
00.01-00.33

Mark and Addison first meeting wasn't loving at all, he was admiring her from across the room when she was leaving. She noticed him and decided to stay a little longer. He approaches and she rejects him when she's sitting with her girlfriends, who are tired of men.
For some reason she goes to that bar the next day and finds him there. He grabs her and she doesn't pull away, she sits with him. They almost kiss but then she pulls away and have a walk with him instead.
0.34-1.34
The next night she meets Derek - Mark's best friend - (she doesn't know that) and they fall in love. Mark is in the bar too. He finds a woman, who comforts him with sex.
Derek and Addison are getting serious and they all become friends, when Addison realizes that Mark and Derek are best friends she talks to Mark.
Derek proposes to Addison and she agrees to marry him, they tell their friends and Mark is hurting.
He finds a lot of comfort in other women, so that's what he does to forget the pain, she sleeps around.
1.35-1.49
It is finally time for their wedding and Mark talks to Derek, to see if he's happy, and he certainly is.
1.50-02.14
A few years later, Derek is absent and Mark tells Addison how he feels. They end up in bed together, and Derek caughts them. Derek leaves Addison.
02.15-02.32
Mark and Addison talks, he wants a relationship while Addison just wants comfort. That's what he gives her. She tells him that "her heart can't take this kind of love". And when her heart finally can, Mark messes up. She goes to Seattle to get her husband back. (And now we have the season 2 storyline)
02.33-03.06
Mark follows Addison to get her back but Addison doesn't want him. Derek doesn't like Mark (ofc) and hits him. That's when he realizes that Addison didn't tell him the whole story. (Addison and Derek are divorced now, like I said, season 2 storyline)
03.07-ending
Mark and Addison talks about them, and they decide to not have sex with anyone for 60 days. If they made it they would try to be a real couple. This time it's Addison that messes up. Mark tells her that he lost the bet, because he knew that she slept with someone else.

Like I said, it's messy, and I would really recommend that you have watched Grey's Anatomy so you know some of their story.

Disclaimer: I own nothing, not the song, not blue october, not imogen heap, not grey's anatomy, not private practice, not mark sloan, not addison montgomery and so on...

Planning Your 2009 Wedding - Thoughts and Ponderings From the Ceremony Side...

Planning Your 2009 Wedding - Thoughts and Ponderings From the Ceremony Side...
Congratulations to Nathan and Brenda!
Summer of 2008 - Kensington Gardens, Gig Harbor, WA
photo: Brooke Hendricks (thank you, Brooke!)
Planning your wedding for next year?
This is the time of year (Fall/Winter) when I meet with couples who are putting the planning pieces together - small weddings, unusual weddings, large and formal affairs, a casual home affair, a wedding by the sea and so much more.
And here's what I know for sure as I move into 2009:
- When planning your wedding ceremony, focus on the "two of you." What you want and desire for your ceremony and how you can incorporate your family and friends in a meaningful way that will create a memory for a lifetime. Your ceremony is a "one time only" ritual - give it the respect and care it deserves - whether formal or casual, large or intimate.
- Remember that you can "swing both ways" - within your ceremony, you have the lovely opportunity to incorporate traditional pieces/elements and contemporary elements. This is true whether you are religious, spiritual or secular.
- And most of all, consider the possibility of a weekday wedding for serious savings and don't put off or miss the opportunity for an immediate honeymoon. Even if your post-wedding time together is a day, a few days or a week or two, take the time to decompress and truly relish in the joy of starting your new partnership - together.
