Aisle Style TuesdayPhoto by Sedona Bride

Today's Aisle Style features heavily petaled aisles with luscious rose petals. These two images show how a beautiful aisle can be made solely of rose petals. I'm in awe over these pictures, but my only question is, what do they look like after being walked upon? :)

Dating Advice: Indecisive To Focused In 5 Steps

por | | 0 comments

You are a single woman who is frustrated because your life and relationships are humdrum and mundane. Time to make some changes. What are you really passionate about? What makes your heart sing? Are you waiting for a relationship to make your life begin? It's time to step out of your comfort zone and begin to live a life that has energy and momentum.

Step 1 - Move out of Indecisive

As a single coach many of the women I speak to are indecisive about their lives and particularly about relationships. They seem to be in a rut and don't know how to find the time, energy or focus to have it be different.

Ask yourself the question; is my life as I would like it to be? Do I have a picture of how I want my life to look in a year, 2 years, 5 years? I suggest that if you want you life to be different you first have to start with your own vision. Part of this vision will probably include a relationships. So Step 1 is to build your vision, give yourself time and space to do this - get yourself a notebook, look at all areas of your life, including relationships, and write down how you would life to look.

Step 2 - Moving from trying to doing

Part of the problem for single women is that you do not know how to make the changes in your attitudes and actions. Quite a lot of the time I hear women say that they will 'try' to do something. Have you ever just tried to pick up a cup? Just trying ends in failure because you will not complete the action.

So now you have a vision how are you going to make this happen? How are you going to convert trying into doing? Step 2 is about learning not just to dip your toe in the water but to make the first step. Look at the work you have done on your vision and ask yourself what is the one thing I can do today which will move me towards that vision? This action will often be very small but it is a step taken and achieved.

Step - 3 Change

Change is not half-hearted, it has energy and dynamism. It is about having a headline for your life that says "I know where I am heading and I am walking in that direction". So in Step 2 I talked about taking the first steps. Although these may be small at first the aim is for you to get your life in motion and find more energy for yourself.

Step 3 is about how to find that energy. If you want to achieve lasting change in your life you are going to have to feel successful in the steps you are taking. What are you really passionate about that you are not doing now? What makes your heart sing? I suggest you concentrate on those areas of life that will bring you the biggest gains first. That means don't necessarily look at the relationship part first, look at those parts that you can achieve on your own.

Step 4 - Commitment to yourself first

Guess what, you need to fix your life first and a relationship that you desire will follow. This sounds like a tall order but I can assure you it works like that. Your first commitment is to yourself and getting all the pieces of your life in order so that you can have the future that you desire.

How can you keep that commitment? Step 4 is you putting your agenda at the top of your list of priorities. This is not about being selfish but about being self-focused and self-disciplined. Take the situation when you have promised yourself that you will do a particular task that will move you towards your vision. A friend phones, she is lonely and would like to meet for a drink. It is easy for you to give up on your task after all you want to be a good friend but it is more important to remind yourself about your priorities. After all you can meet her tomorrow night. So don't put off those things that move you further down your path.

Step 5 - Making a plan and sticking to it.

It is so easy to let life get in the way and find yourself back where you were. Therefore the most important part is having a plan for your life and for relationships that will keep you focused on moving forward.

My suggestion is that Step 5 is for you draw up a plan. It will have different areas for the different parts of your life. Then ask yourself what can I do this week, this month, this 6 months to move forward? Now it is time to make appointments with yourself, but your tasks in your diary. Be kind to yourself and don't make them too big or too many just slow and steady. See yourself being successful in ticking them off week by week.

Creating, Crafting and Delivering Your Interfaith Wedding Ceremony. It Truly Is A Tapestry...
Rich and Patricia - A Chuppah And Four Good Friends
Stimson Green Mansion, January 26, 2009
Beautiful Photo Courtesy of Dani Weiss: www.daniweissphotography.com
I had the honor of officiating Rich and Patricia's Interfaith wedding ceremony a week or so ago. Their wedding ceremony was blessed under a Chuppah and their multi-faith ceremony included beautiful elements from some of the world's most beautiful faiths and traditions.
If you are celebrating different faiths and beliefs/backgrounds within your wedding ceremony, there is great latitude in how you build and create your wedding ceremony. Find an Officiant who will work directly with you to incorporate your personal elements and pieces that are heartfelt and poignant.
Your wedding ceremony is a tapestry of sorts - it weaves together the past, the present and the future. Take on the wonderful opportunity to make it truly your own.

Andrew and Vivian's Sunny Weekday Wedding At DeLille Cellars, Woodinville... Andrew and Vivian Seelye ~ DeLille Cellars
February 22, 2010

It was such a sweet moment on Monday the 22nd for the family and friends of Andrew and Vivian, married at the wonderful DeLille Cellars in Woodinville.

I captured this photo of Andrew and Vivian just before their ceremony. It was a treat for me to work with this couple. Together, we created a warm and intimate ceremony that reflected Andrew and Vivian's values, backgrounds and loving relationship.

Andrew and Vivian - how blessed you are to have each other! As Andrew said in his vows, "little did I know that two years ago I would find this wonderful path with you, Vivian!" Andrew, I agree!

Country:US

Vivian began formal voice training at the age of eight at the Pittsburgh Musical Institute, later continuing at New Yorks Juilliard School of Music followed by years of extensive dance training.

She became a polished performer under the guidance of Honi Coles and Bobby Schiffman of the Apollo Theater and soon after made an impressive Broadway debut, replacing Micki Grant in Dont Bother Me, I Cant Cope. Vivians rousing performance prompted director Vinnette Carroll to stage another production of the show in Chicago, where she revised the show to take advantage of Vivians singing, dancing and acting talents. Two years later, Vivian auditioned for the musical Bubbling Brown Sugar, the first of several popular revues based on music of the 20s and 30s. Although she was hired immediately, she soon discovered there was no existing part for her, so she created the role of Young Irene. The show toured the country to rave reviews before it opened on Broadway; likewise a smash success! Her show-stopping performance, included a dazzling song and dance production of Sweet Georgia Brown and a unique vocal rendition of God Bless the Child that won her critical acclaim, including a TONY NOMINATION, DRAMA DESK AWARD, THEATRE WORLD AWARD, OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE AWARD, NAACP AWARD and several others.

After Broadway, Vivian went to Los Angeles to open another company of Bubbling Brown Sugar and then on to Europe with the show, touring such countries as England, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Italy and France. While recognizing Vivians own unique talents, Paris proclaimed her The New Josephine Baker. She captured the attention of Pierre Cardin, who booked Vivian into his theater and held her over for several weeks. Through Cardin, she went to Japan for the first time and made her first European TV special. Later, she was invited by the Prince and Princess of Monaco to perform in Monte Carlo.

Vivian has appeared on many TV variety and talk shows both nationally and internationally including The Tonight Show, The Today Show and the ABC-TV daytime drama, One Life to Live. She has shared the bill with notable performers as Bill Cosby, Pattie Labelle, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Melba Moore, Elaine Stritch, Alan King, Sammy Davis Jr., Quincy Jones, Ashford and Simpson and Charles Aznavour, just to name a few. Her film credits include Heading for Broadway, LAfricaine with Catherine Deneuve and Le Rumba, in which she portrayed Josephine Baker.

Vivian has also brought her nightclub act to major gatherings of organization and dignitaries, including Mercedes Benz, IBM, Top Fashion Designers Gala at the Theatre Champs Elysees and the American Film Festival in Deauville. She appeared at the Festival del Vina in Chile, along with other top performers like Laura Branigan, Sting, Mister Mister and Jon Secada. There she received the coveted Torch Award, an honor bestowed by the mayor and citizens of Vina for only the most exceptional and stirring performances.

Besides her international success as an actress and entertainer, she has also been featured in the worlds most read and influential news and fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Paris Match, People, Ebony, Jet (cover) and Time Magazine. Her personal style and taste for designer clothes have won her a place on Mr. Blackwells Best Dressed Women List and she was selected by People Magazine as one of the 25 Most Intriguing People of the Year.

In recent years, Vivian has starred in New York at the Rainbow and Stars in a rhythm and blues revue and the Supper Club in a swing revue. She received critical acclaim in major productions of Sophisticated Ladies, Roar of the Greasepaint, Smell of the Crowd, Blues in the Night, High Rollers in which she received a TONY NOMINATION, Show Boat in which she portrayed the role of Queenie and Tintypes. Her recent plays include Blues for an Alabama Sky, Crumbs from the table of Joy, Pork Pie and Cookin At The Cookery. Vivian was featured in the highly anticipated Marie Christine Lincoln Center. She also portrayed Lena Horne in a new piece, More than a Song, with the Pittsburgh Ballet Company at the Benedum Theater in Pittsburgh. Vivian contributed her talents to the Lena Horne Awards Show hosted by Bill Cosby honoring Rosie ODonnell and Quincy Jones at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts in New York. Recently she appeared in Three Mo Divas, the follow-up to Three Mo Tenors at the San Diego Rep and Arena Stage in Washington, DC. Presently Vivian is putting together her own show which should be ready in a few months.

Ever Have One Of Those Life Moments That Are Beyond Precious? The Tale Of Mommy and Daddy's "Run-A-Way Boy!"

por | | 0 comments

Ever Have One Of Those Life Moments That Are Beyond Precious? The Tale Of Mommy and Daddy's "Run-A-Way Boy!" I don't know how she did it, but Seattle photographer, Barbie Hull, was "on it" during Michael and Lindy's wedding ceremony at Port Gamble Church in Port Gamble, WA ~ she exquisitely caught this perfect image of little guy Wake running toward his parents during their wedding ceremony!

Wake was supposed to walk his Mother down the aisle and changed his mind at the last moment. Instead, Wake rambled around the bottom floor and balcony of Port Gamble Church during the ceremony, entertaining himself as only little guys do.

As we honored Wake during the ceremony, we all turned and waved to him while he was peaking out from the church's small balcony area. And within a few minutes, Wake was running down the aisle to his parents for a big hug.

Crystal. Sweet. Perfect. Sometimes there are no words for a moment that takes your breath away.

Title: The Protomen - Act II: The Good Doctor

The person who uploaded Act II took the videos down.

The Protomen aren't exactly widely known. People can't support a band they don't know about. Ergo, I will upload this and a few other iconic songs from the Act.

Thomas:
My father worked the mines
'Til the day it took his life
Stolen from his only only son
And then stolen from his wife

And I swore upon his grave
someday I would make things right

So I learned how to bend steel
I learned how to make it move
And I watched as it withstood
all the hell we put men through

With hands of Iron
There's not a task we couldn't do.

They've waited so long for this day
Someone to take the death away
No son would ever have to say
"Father worked into his Grave"

Albert:
Tom, listen to yourself
And listen carefully to me
If you replace the working parts
You get a different machine
The man who turns the wheels
They will follow wherever he leads
We've spent our whole lives searching for a way to make a better world
Giving everything to them, asking for nothing in return
Well here it is, a chance to take back everything we've earned.

Thomas:
They've waited so long for this day
(They waited for so long for this day)
Someone to take the death away
(There is no price they wouldn't pay)
No son would ever have to say
(For someone else to lead them)
"Father worked into his Grave"
(Don't turn your back on me!)

What will I become
With the things I will create
I never said that men should bow
I never said that men should break
I only want what's best

The one I love she works so hard
Works her fingers until they bleed
Some of the pain she endures
Would bring a strong man to his knees
I only want to help

Albert: You are a fool
Tom: You underestimate the character of men
Albert: Well they are weaker than you think
Tom: You think they'll surrender if you bind their working hands
But they are strong
Albert: Just wait and see

Thomas:
We will build cities in a day
(Men would cower at the sight)
We will build towers to the heavens
(Men was not built for such a height)
We will be heros
(We build heros)

They've waited so long for this day,
Someone to take the death away
No son would ever have to say
"Father worked into his Grave."

Men sleep tonight with hands of bone
And will awake with hands of steel
With these hands we will destroy
And with these hands we will rebuild
And we will stand above the city
Rising high above the streets
From tops of buildings we will look
At all the lies beneath our feet
And we will raise our hands above us
Cold steel shining in the sun
And with these hands that will not bleed
My father's battle will be won

(thanks PandaSquared)

Rahn and Dawn's Seattle Wedding Extravaganza at Golden Gardens Park! Rahn and Dawn Stolworthy
July 19, 2009 ~ Golden Gardens Park

Well, if there ever was a very fun and memorable ceremony, I put Rahn and Dawn's marvelous wedding at Golden Gardens Park at the top of my short list! And this remarkable couple took everything in stride with grace and humor - you've gotta love that!

******

So, let's see...what were some of the elements and unexpected surprises to the Stolworthy's ceremony?

- lots of wind which made things very blustery and fun
- a train in the middle of the ceremony (toot! toot!)
- a microphone that wouldn't behave properly and finally did
- gorgeous wedding vows
- fabulous family and friends who took everything in stride
- no parking. Na da. Guests walked in from all over - it was a packed day for people at the park. And no complaints were heard.

The most wonderful Cheryl Jones from www.inaframe.com took this beautiful photo of Rahn and Dawn and captured yesterday's festivities.

Rahn and Dawn - I suggest a picnic at Golden Gardens every year on your anniversary and wish you much happiness together....

Title: The Demon Daughter - Hakuna Matata Style

Here's the latest Rhiolly parody for ya'll to hate on. :)

This is kind of based on the harsh opinions expressed in the video, "Hitler was not dazzled by Breaking Dawn." Once again, we do feel this way, but we still love Twilight no matter what we say. I'll have to admit it to myself one day/

This idea was born whilst we were waiting in the KFC drive-thru. In between pondering what exactly were the Colonel's 11 secret herbs and spices, the dulcet tones of Timon and Pumbaa began yodeling out of my crappy stereo system thingie. And the song-plotting ensued. I think one of our early stage lyrics was:

"When he was a young vampire...
WHEN I WAS A YOUNG VAMPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRE!
You were really fat.
So's your mum."

Thankfully, we progressed a little further than Twum Jokes.

*choikes on saliva. And TomStud*

OH! SPEAKING OF, we dedicate this video to the entirety of HotHoboLove, as we are proud to introduce....

CREEEEEEEEPER TOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nemesis of RoRo.

Btw, Plaids, Rhianne and I have a new vid planned for you. Hopefully that'll be up next week. And hopefully the last two songs we filmed will finally get put up. These involve Avril Lavigne and Miley Cyrus. I've decided I have no taste in music.

RHIANNE: This is a long one.

LOLLY: THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!

*giggles and thinks of TomStud again*

Anyway. Laters, haters.

And WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God bless corruptable Disney songs. I hope I've shattered your childhood dreams. :D
